Have you been looking for the perfect hobby to increase your cool status? Now is the perfect time to take up spoon carving! You will never be cooler!
Come join me at the Canberra Woodcraft Guild on either May 23 or May 24 where we will spend time learning the principles of greenwood carving, and walk away with your very own spoon!
Guild membership is required. Day passes are available through the Guild if you are not a member currently.
If you are not a woodcraft guild member you can arrange 1 off membership of $10. This needs to be paid at least one week in advance of the workshop. We will need the following information:

Everything you need will be supplied, you get to take home your very own handmade spoon and learn about the hobby that is Green Woodworking. You will learn knife safety, wood selection and spoon orientation, the principles of spoon carving, safe carving and knife holds, ethical wood collection and spoon care.
So how does it work?
- You carve your own cooking spoon. I will take care of the axe work.
- Wood, knives and all other tools are all supplied, no need to bring anything!
- Groups of 2-6 will ensure classes go ahead, $190 per person.
- Allow approx 5hrs.
- Spoon class specifics will be provided post purchase through your email or text.
Individual and more advanced spoon carving lessons are available, which will include axe work. Please reach out with a message to discuss this option.
